Shooting a summer collection in a Victorian winter is never an easy task, but somehow we manage to keep pulling it off. The scene is; dappled afternoon light in Geelong's Botanical Gardens, a small army of Oishi-m staff and our munchkins in tow, and Ikea bags full of the very secretive collection of Summer 15 garments.
Before we go out on location, the first task is to work out the availability, sizing and outfitting of our 'talent'. Here's a sneaky look into the stashes of outfits that we divide by 'talent'.
An Oishi-m shoot is a free range affair.
The small people play, and we mingle around the edges chatting, as Ed Sloane (our super surf photographer extraordinaire) gets snap-happy, catching every smile, giggle and hissy fit! We have a philosophy of no photoshopping out blemishes, snot, dribble or tears. This is a celebration of childhood depicted in it's real raw beauiy.
Sorting out footwear, and mingling at the top of the stairs.
I'm a little shy, but not really.
