It's not always sunshine and rainbows on Oishi-m Photoshoots..
Sometimes the weather gods don't get the memo that we placed an order for warming sunshine, blue skies and sparkling seas. On this occasion, for our Oishi-m Hi Summer 16 photoshoot, we could've switched it up for a winter shoot, such was the weather.
As the day loomed ever closer, and we coordinated all the parents, kids, photographer, videographer and outfits to be ready for the planned date (not an easy task!), the forecast wasn't looking good. We are an optimistic lot, and always see a glass half full, so we kept forging ahead with our plans. The morning arrived, and we all looked at eachother with wide eyes (and a healthy dose of trepidation), yet still no-one mentioned the obvious; 12 degrees max forecast and the Rain Radar app that looked more like we should be preparing Noah's Ark than a Hi Summer photoshoot!
What ensued was unbelievable! We ended up with torrential rain that resulted in floods across Victoria, roads were cut, the SES worked overtime across the state! Winds were whipping the seas off Torquay's Cosy Corner into a frenzy, trees were sideways, sand was whipping across the shores. Yet the show went on, and the team achieved the fastest ever shoot in 15mins, with smiles on the munchkins' dials (the mums were a bit strung out!) and the promise of fish n' chips at our fave local healthy seafood restaurant, Fisho's (do yourself a favour and pay them a visit next time you visit Torquay).
We're always on hand to tuck the tags in, or help the 'talent' on shoots.
All good here, peacin' out with friends in our latest Bigger Sizes; we are now catering up to size 7-8yrs.
That's a wrap on Hi Summer 16! The team were oh-so-happy to survive the day, and indulge in a well deserved, warming meal of Fisho's fish n' chips.
Thanks for your incredible support of our latest collection, and the feedback about our new Bigger Sizes has been great! We are getting lots of enquiries about the Bloom T Shirt - it was super duper limited edition and sold out so quickly.
Lots of love,
the Oishi-m crew!
